and for my next project...
i want to make an auto feed setup so i can go out camping on the weekends and know my babies are stayin wet. figure im gonna go with the float shut off like earl did on his shuttle design. no carrying water all over the place. and put the pump(s) on a timer. the only question is what size pump to use and what kind of intervals to feed at. im sure it wouldnt take me too long to figure it out, but if anyone knows right off...
1) usually have 32 plants in flower that i feed 10-14 oz. per plant per day, in one feeding session.
2) usually about 16 plants in the veg that get 8-10 oz. per plant per day, in one feeding.
3) usually about 16 in the clone box that get 4-6 oz. per day.
So... what size pump, or pumps, would i be looking at needing? do i need to actually sit down and calculate the footage of hose to find a good gph? i was going to use a 1/2" supply line and split that where needed to 1/8" line. i need roughly 30' of 1/2" and 140' of 1/8" hose. i have a 750 lph (liters per gallon) and a 250 lph. will i be wasting my time hooking these up cause i will need more power? not that its a big waste of time, i was just wondering if any one knew what i might expect the flow rate to be. im not real good with math and conversions, was hoping some one might be able to help. thanks.
