The Medical Marijuana RSS feeds are proving to be a popular feature for cannabis activists and patients seeking the latest news. We've added even more RSS feeds, and altered the way they are listed.
In the latest posts lists on the main URL and at the bottom of the forums home the new RSS posts are no longer listed. They are still reported in the latest thread starter list in the left panel at forum home. This was done so the RSS posts didn't over run the posts from actual users looking for a response. As some of you have commented in PM the bots were over taking the system, post wise. So if you are interested in the feeds you can just join the forum and view what's new. No need to report all the bot posts in the latest post lists.
RSS feeds are delivered into the forums from RSS bots. Feeds are updated every 30 minutes in most cases. The name of the bot will indicate the news source:
- rssbot-dabronx is from a yahoo MMJ health group updated by DaBronx
- rssbot-indybay is from the drug war posts on indybay.org
- rssbot-map is from the Media Awareness Project, Cali Headlines
- More RSS feeds may be added at any time
These are posted in the
MMJ News Feeds forum. Another sub forum has been created there for the
ASA mail lists. These lists are public email discussions, and can have several hundred messages a day especialy during times of DEA raids. These lists are region specific and we will probably add more regions. For now the bots are covering the following
- rssbot-asa-cca ASA list for central California
- rssbot-asa-sf ASA list for San Francisco
- rssbot-asa-la ASA lsit for Los Angeles
- rssbot-asa-co ASA list for Colorado
