We screwed the pooch trying to convert the front end main URL software to accept the users from the forum and vice-a-versa.
Basically when you install the front end soft it almost reads in the users, then tells you to refresh after logging into the forums, well each refresh doubles the records in an options table.
With all those options doubled if you go in to set the default page there are 3 identical options for each entry -very annoying
So I deleted options > id 115 and this was great, except that set of options had the forums enabled. Great, we want forums enabled. Except it parses the user info in OK but then loses the vbulletin table prefix for virtuanews on the output. So for now you need to REGISTER on the forums and FRONT END URL. This is no big deal everyone uses cookies anyway.
Eventually I'll fix the missing prefix hopefully but it's not that big of deal it should work out of the box.
The front page has some ugly ass links into recent posts and this post is testing that. It's kinda ugly but should work until I find something better.
So We did a major face lift on the admin option screens and no data was lost. Yesterday you could not log into the front end virtua news.
