It all depends what your needs are as a patient and what your limits are and what the long range plan is. Most patients goals revolve around spending nothing at the dispensaries or at least 'way less' for meds.
It costs $1.25 a gram to grow, and much more to donate to a dispensary as we all know. You sound dialed in for a noob and the plants know what to do. You just have to be ready for them.
Under lights you need smaller plants, the light can only penetrate 2 feet. The 600 or even a 400 watt HPS is great for flowering. You do have to roll with what you have. Being ready for the plants is knowing how long to veg them.
The first 2 weeks of flowering the plant strengthens and lengthens it's branches anticipating heavy buds. We call this stretch. If you flower Afgooey at 18 inches it will end up about 26 inches tall when done. That's not much stretch. I ran Master Kush and it stretched 3 times it's height, like a 5 foot monster, no good indoors. That was not the real deal Master Kush I heard later.
So veg your clones 2 weeks, top them, veg another week and flower after 3 weeks of veg and your plants are around 18 inches. In week 5 of flower, you need new clones in veg. Get a daisy cloner for $70 and you can easily provide 1 to 2 oz per month by flowering 2, vegging 2 and keeping 2 moms, for your 6 plants. Keep it within the grinch like limits and it doesn't raise suspicion.
The plants know what to do just feed them like the schedule every nute company provides and every other time hit them with just PH'd water and get ready for harvest because it sneeks up on you quicker then you like sometimes.
Don't worry karma takes care of noobs, good luck.
