hi guys,

its been awhile since i've been on a board like this one.

i was previously an admin, well.......THE admin at weedtracker for over 2 or 3 years. i am the one who recommended WildWill (who did a great job). i went down in a blaze over there, sharing intimate knowledge of why WildWill left. was IP banned and still found ways to let the public know what happened. they aren't real happy over there with me.
although it really doesn't matter aymore sometimes i still think about all the work i did for WT. so thats what brought me here.

boy did Jon screw up something good over there. its too bad.

The idea was great. The menus is more than anyone can do, though. But then the censorship and obvious shilling and all that made it so a serious patient or activist didn't want to visit it. I personally won't visit there, but I've heard prominent people say like-wise, so it's more than just my opinionated self.

I think there is still a lot that can be done on canna web sites I want to embrace the new techs and try to keep weedbay current. We run on pennies so we don't really have to suck up to any entity that's just promoting their agenda and we remain rather independent that way.

What they blew over there is daily contributors, that's so hard to build and without it your forums go nowhere. You're welcome to hang here but you can't rule over here like they did over there, no, no no....

So I set the main url up for news headlines and facts, like the grow faq and strain guide. And the forums is 100% opinion, technique, and some news feeds.

I'd like to switch over to Joomla on the front end and make the strain guide and grow faq an air desktop app/ria, heh maybe someday. The strain guide widget.

no no no no, i have absolutely no intentions of becoming a member of the counsel here.

the original idea of the menus was mine. i was doing all the traveling for them when WT first came online. this is back when LA only had about 10 or so dispensaries. i was driving to Hollywood every weekend, meeting with all the owners, getting menus, prices, all the everything. it was killing me. the perks of the job were good, but the stress of trying to get everyone to send me the lists was draining. i couldn't get anyone to do it on a consistent basis. so...i stopped doing it. then SOLAT came along and we made him an Admin. he took the menus to a whole different level. really the only way to get all the clubs to send the info every week was to make them pay for it. at this point we had maybe 20 - 30 in LA, then they ventured into the Valley and Inland Empire. creating tons of new info for not only the patients but tons of work for us to keep up.

advertising should NOT be free. period. but Jon took it too far. charged too much and gave some of the top payers special treatment that they didn't deserve. the patients really started to pick on this and that's when tempers started to flare. and that's when WT started its downward spiral.

some of our rules were strict in the beginning because of me but when Jon started bringing in more and more of his "choice" mods without consulting me and SOLAT that too got out of control. but in defense of WilWill, people really started bitching about the rules more than talking about what we were all there for. whioch in turn only starts to piss off the staff. the catch 22 was harsh and almost impossible to get out of.

anyway, if anyone has anything bad to say about SOLAT or WildWill you are sorely mistaken on their personalities. the 3 of us were the best things that ever happen to WT.

most of you don't know me. but the long time users do. i've been here since the first week weedtracker came online.

my history with weedtracker goes deep so i'll give you a little backround.

when wt first began, there were no rules, no menus, no nothing. coming here for the first time was awestriking. i could find every address to ever co-op in my area. when word of mouth was advertising it was hard to find a good, safe place to buy meds. but with no rules, everyone yelled and screamed at eachother about how that one user must work for that one co-op because they disagreed. seeing this, i began speaking to weedtracker about how rules are necessary. he asked if i wanted to help. i then became the first administrator besides himself. we worked hard, day and night. week in week out. spending my entire weekends visiting every co-op within 30 miles of my home. putting everything i had into this site. i began getting a weekly update of co-op menus for the users. this proved to be very difficult because its hard to get these owners to send me an email every few days or so. so i spent most of my time meeting with them, discussing their future here at WT and bringing home menus. this became very tiresome. not long after that, our beloved SOLAT became a mod. he brought some really great ideas to WT and really ran with them. he has all the credit one could give. he did ALL the leg work. ALL the schmoozing. everything.

i then became the board manager. i ran the entire board and all the mods for long period. doing a few co-op menu accounts in my home area, but mostly running the board. SOLAT did 95% of the menus, weedtracker did all the computer/code stuff for the site, and i ran the battlefront. things were good for a long period of time. lots of history there. lots of rules compromises, bannings, rule changes, threats being made to the 3 of us.........the list goes on and on.

i soon had a few changes in my life where i couldn't put in the time anymore. i let SOLAT and weedtracker know and we discussed who would be my predecessor. we came up with a great guy.......WilWill. some of you hate him, some of you like him, and some of you couldn't care less. there really isn't anyone else out there that could have done a better job than him. i told him on many occasions he was doing a very good job, giving him a little advice here and there. i was left as an admin for the benefit of my postings. we didn't want my title changed because all my posts were still up. giving people warnings and such, we didn't want it to look like some random user was barking orders. but in the end it worked out. even though i wasn't involved with you guys, the users, i still went into the mod and admin forums to help with difficult situations.........if i felt i could contribute. most of the time i didn't. i really took a back seat here and let Will do his job.

as you all know, a week or so ago, Wild Will deleted his account. there have been some serious problems from within. we have a semi new mod named KoughingWithKoffee. some rumors have been circulating amongst the mods that weedtracker has more interest in her than one should. by both of their actions it has become apparent that weedtracker and KWK no longer wanted Will to be here. it will explained here very soon. anyway, there was a reported post by KWK in our mod forum last week and Will addressed it. as he should. there was some disagreements and it soon became a full blown argument where some name calling and teases were made. Will did something he shouldn't have done, but he did it anyway. he got so upset he deleted KWK's account as well his own.

before i read that reported post thread, i started one asking where will was.
instead of replying, weedtracker sent me a pm. not long after the pm, i read the thread.

i'll share that conversation with you.

and i don't mean that by default we should naturally piss everyone off. i mean that its impossible for that many people to get along and its impossible for them all to follow the rules. and without rules.......you have nothing.

keep a handle on your life regardless of its circumstances.

"handle your shit" could mean ten million different things. good, bad, and the ugly. doesn't matter.

making money isn't easy. in your line, you have to deal with email hate, verbal hate, friend back stabbing, losers, whiners, headstrong assholes. but you will never get rich until you learn how to seperate you rash decisions with logical thoughts.

was it worth not trying to talk him, again, about his actions on the board.

maybe it seems like its worth it today.
but you should probably reflect on this decision again in a few weeks and in a month or two.

i'm the one who did all the dirty work on the board for a very long time. i'm the one who came up with online menus and tried to get a list of every damn co-ops herb every weekend on my free time. 8-10 hrs a day on the weekends, for free. thats who i am.

and truthfully dude. you don't have to listen to me. but you know i'm right. i may not know everything that you guys have done lately, but my admin experience still applies. it always worked. you know that. i did a great job for you guys. don't ever deny that. so yes, my opnion should count for "something."

but...........one should always know when to listen. the sooner you figure that out the better off you'll be.

as far as Kerri bro. fine man. i'm over it. but you sound like a 3rd grader when you defend yourself about it. you freak out.
and if you think she's smart and can contribute to the future, thats great man. i hope she does.

i never complain about anything done here. ever.
i never step in and voice much of anything anymore. its not my place. i just feel what happened could have been prevented. or at least ended in a different way. now you have to deal with other people thinking they have some sort of say more than they did before. that they were right for whatever reason. that is going to create more and more situations.

thats all i'm getting at man.

the next day i was no longer able to view the admin forum. i was still an admin but barred from the admin forum. i then went into the site settings and let myself back in.
a day or two later there was another reported post thread by KWK saying that a very old user and ex-mod had threatened the site. she posted the pm. i saw nothing. there was no threat. no anger. no nothing. i replied to the post with a question mark or two. and believe me, i've had my fare share of trouble with this user and would have no problem banning him myself. but there wasn't a problem.

i then received my pink slip the next day via PM.

Ya talk about a bunch of drama queens...

It just seemed to me each post brought about 3 new rules until there were just too many rules. Rules as far as the eye could see.

Up North we always thought weedtracker was a good idea but we already know the dispensary owners are too lazy to post their white board or even keep the whiteboard very recent when you go in. Try getting them to list their clones or anything.

We as patients thinks it's great if we have a list to check out and I've seen forums bloom a small business into a huge flower akin to viral marketing. But for everyone's saftey perhaps not having that online is the best bet.

WT would have been great for up north, but weedtracker was never willing to put any of his own time into doing anything about it. he was the only one up north for a long time. while SOLAT and i were promoting WT down here feverishly, nothing was being done up there. there weren't even any members up there. almost everyone was a SoCal resident.

keeping up with a white board is almost impossible unless they are updating it themselves. that was one of the last things implemented right before i left.

but there was always the safety factor for them. some times they wanted nothing to do with menus.

GD, sorry to hear about WT. i wasn't anybody special but i did get to see some things at my first meet-n-greet that upset me. (rigged drawings) So i chose no to be a part of it anymore. Too much drama for me instead of simply being there for one another.
i'm sure there were many things said about me, but it's okay, i and a couple others know the truth. i hope to get to meet you someday. bp
