Bubble cloner

Just built a 24 site bubble cloner tonight. Rubbermaid container, 24 x 2 inch netpots, air pump and air stone, all like $30.
Questions:

Will I get better results with the clones above the water level or below? I plan on putting through the bottom of the netpots 1/2 inch or so and supporting them with Hydroton.

Still use Clonex gel?

How fast can I expect roots?

I have always used Jiffy pellets in the past with great results, but tire of explaining my old school ways

Hey you want to use alot of gel because the bubbling action washes it away. You want your clones above the water where the bubbling water just mists them. You can go 1/2 hr on, 1/2 hr off.

Expect roots in 10 to 14 days, look for the bumps then you know you have just a couple days before there's roots.
