Hydro medium questions
Has anyone every heard of using a mixture of coconut husk and perlite in an ebb and flow system?

Absolutely you can mix those 2 or coco and hydroton too. I like to top feed with coco maybe you can consider a drip top feeder.

So is there an advantage to using that medium as opposed to rockwool?

It sure is a whole lot messier.

its all about the growers opinion.....I have used every type of medium possible trying to find a better one for the ebb and flow and from what i have found is everyone just does what suits them....for instance.....Im lazy and dont like to carry heavy things so I use pertilite 75% with fox farm's light warrior, both very light mediums and work as well as anything i have tried. I used to lug around "soiless" mixes that seemed heavier than actual soil and they never gave me the rootballs that lighter mixes give you.
