hydro
You betcha, hydro is the shit.Keep your ph in veg at 5.7 to5.8 in the bloom ph should be 6.2 to 6.8.That is what g.h calles for.PPM in veg start slow, first few weeks stick around 200 to 300 ppm,as the babies grow take it up slowly.Don't exceed 1500 in veg.For bloom start around 800 and move up to 1800 at the end.Do not forget to flush 1 week before there done

Its really not so hard
We also were curious about hydro so we got a 7 pot live well set up very easy and reasonable priced to give it a shot........

and so far its been pretty smooth labor wise it seems less, and we change water out every 3-4 days i believe, and he checks levels everyday, the grow is much quicker and requires less light.

dont quote me on the water changing but im pretty sure we both do our watering about the same time, i'm still playing in the dirt the hydro is his new baby but i do know how to check the levels and adjust if hes gone.

Hydro is pretty straight forward. I would recommend starting off with a DWC system to get the feel of going hydro. All you need is a 5 gallon bucket with a top (or rubbermaid), cut a hole in the top to fit a net cup which the plant along with medium will go, an air stone, air pump, and air line. Fill the bucket with appropriate water/nutes and adjust PH......done. It is def. a great science experiment even if you decide you prefer soil. PPM meter is the main thing that can hurt the wallet going hydro, but you can always go light on the nutes the entire cycle and get away without having one. Total cost of DWC setup should be less than $40. Don't slack on the air pump, it should cost around $20 for a good one.
