Interrupted light cycle....what happens
Quick question for you all out there. My timer got stuck on for 24 hours and the light stayed on. They have been in the flowering for 4 weeks now and was wondering how bad that might of throw them off. Has anyone ever done that before? Whats the deal? Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear about your timer getting stuck. I'd suggest replacing it with a digital timer. They are cheap, but hard to initially set up but run better once set up.

Marijuana plants are very cyclic. In nature the time of sunset only varies a minute or less each day. Cannabis plants expect this cyclic dark and light to be very rigid. So it's a pretty serious problem the beginning of flowering and gets slightly less strict through flowering.

So your plants have been streesed. You want to provide a stress free set up from here on out. Water, Lights, ventilation, feeding should all be perfect as possible now.

What light stressing is likely to do is make your female plants hermie and grow male flowers. These males can seed your females and you need to see if any male flowers develop. Check your plants and pick them off as they appear.

That's my best answer anyway...

feel free to chime in.

To prevent Hermies, especially in Sativas,
use Dutch Master Penetrator and Reverse.

You can even use it after the hermie shows up,
but it is better to prevent them
by using Reverse during the first two weeks of flower.

Got male flowers? Tired of seeds in your favorite crops?
You need Dutch Master Reverse!

Dutch Master Reverse is a uniquely engineered nutritional formulation
that can, in most instances, stop hermaphroditic plants from exhibiting male traits and flowers.
Reverse will stop male flowers and hermaphrodites
in problematic plants such as pumpkins, watermelons
and any flowering crop that has a tendency to hermaphrodite
or show male flowers.
Dutch Master Reverse has a fast knockdown action against existing male flowers
as well as previnting more male flowers from forming
due to their unique technology.
Dutch Master has utilized their proprietary foliar technology
to achieve the most effective and consistently high performing
feminising product on the market today.
With its proprietary foliar technology,
Reverse can detune the plant receptor cells
that are responsible for gibberellin reception
and secondary biosynthesis that is responsible
for over 95% of the cases of unwanted male flower expression.

you may want to get the reverse just in case but from my experience it takes more than just one day to cause enough stress for a plant to hermie... if it was a clone of a true female the odds are pretty good that she wont hermie unless under extreme stress for several days... usually plants with a hermie trait in there genes such as some feminized seeds will hermie in just a day or two of stress... but again you may want to get it and use it just in case to ease your mind
