Santa Fe Reporter, 18 Nov 2009 - Drug Policy Reform Enters a New Era--of Hard Work Medical marijuana is finally happening--but distributing it may be the least of New Mexico's worries. Such was the conceit of the International Drug Policy Reform Conference, which began just days after New Mexico's Department of Health approved four new medical marijuana producers to field demand from the state's 755 patients.

Wausau Daily Herald, 19 Nov 2009 - It is time that Wisconsin has a serious debate about legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes. If the state engages in a serious, factual debate that is not derailed by ideology and political posturing, the State Legislature will have the compassion and humanity to legalize the drug for patients. A bill sponsored by two Democratic state lawmakers, Sen. Jon Erpenbach and Rep. Mark Pocan, will have a public hearing in the Assembly and the Senate on Dec. 15 and possibly come up for a vote in January.

Capitol Weekly, 18 Nov 2009 - With multiple initiatives in circulation and an Assembly bill gathering headlines, discussions about legalizing marijuana have become part of California's political discourse. Advocates on one side argue that the result will be an economic boon as tax revenues rolls in and jails rid themselves of nonviolent offenders. Defenders of prohibition say legalization would be a nightmare of stoned kids, addiction and highway deaths.

i know its been a while since ive been around here, i owe, i owe, so you know the rest. anyway, i'm convinced that i can grow the best mj that the plant will let me get out of her, but i dont really need it for meds, and im not in it to get rich. i work hard for a living and enjoy it. even better i enjoy a fat, clean, fresh bong hit, or five, at the end of that day. what i really dream of doing is becoming a dispensary of meds to those who really do need it for help. i have a friend who owns one of the local head shops, and i could try to find those in need from there, but you never know whos going to be honestly in need. and that of course would probably get us both in a lot of trouble, which i dont need. so as far as i know, there is no legal dispensary in Alaska for those in need of quality meds (ya, i know what youre thinking.."no dispensary in ALASKA??!!"). as far as i know the only way to get legally is the marinol pill, i think thats what it is anyway. they (the law) say you can grow 24 plants, and posses four ounces, but you cant smoke it. CRA-ZY! i looked on line and found a few collages that were called "weed collages", but just found info on smoking pot on campus and things. do i need a license requiring a botanist degree or something? i doubt i can just open up a weed shop. if i can really go to collage to become a mj professor, look out, cause im coming fast! Any info from anyone is greatly appreciated, thank you and have a nice jay.
