Axis of Love SF Announces the Establishment of a Patient Website to Rate Medical Cannabis Dispensaries in San Francisco
In a meeting last week in a near unanimous vote (one nay vote) Axis of Love SF voted to establish a website to rate Medical Cannabis Dispensaries in San Francisco. To be clear we asked Shona to step out as Naomi put the proposal on the table and D. C. seconded the vote. We did not want a conflict of interest to arise from an owner operator who might have interests in the advertising. Shona , of course did step out and had nothing to do with either this vote or its outcome. This vote is a response from Naomi who has witnessed the Department of Health being used as an advertising ground for dispensaries against ethical rules, despite the objections of many ethical owners who tried to talk to the party in question. She brought it to her follow patients and we decided a course of action.
"We are always wanting to improve patient services and give patient's a voice" said Denise, a longtime member "This is a direct way to do it"
The website will have categories such as:
Ø access to strains (organic, Mexican, kush etc)
Ø knowledge of specialized illnesses such as cancer and HIV,
Ø speaking different languages,
Ø accessibility,
Ø social services and activities,
Ø compassion programs,
Ø customer services,
Ø pricing,
Ø hours,
Ø anti-discrimination practices,
Ø knowledge of strains,
Ø accessibility to public transportation,
Ø on site vaporization,
Ø whether the delivery service has people who had background checks or not,
Ø baked goods (and how good they are!)
Ø vegan baked goods, sugar free baked goods
Ø pills, salves, tinctures
Ø clones
Ø hemp bags
Ø and other issues such as if the business are socially responsible.
Ø Paraphernalia and vaporizers
Ø Lastly-if owners have accepted Federal Immunity or Given Federal Testimony
In capitalism the market will come to bear and people will support the businesses which best reflect their needs and values. It is our goal to help new customers be able to learn from older customers which business we trust and value.
We will put flyers up with the website information and put flyers up at dispensaries and around town in order to let people know about the website information in order to participate. Libraries around town have free web access.
This website will focus on San Francisco alone. And it will be run for patients by patients. We are not in it to increase competition or profit maximization. We are in it to help people get what they need and protect patient rights. No owner operator will have a hand in directing it. But we will tell you right now our bias is towards compassionate dispensaries and we will list in RED any club that has accepted Federal Immunity. Beyond that we will not weight it in one direction or another.
